From one project to multiple delivery squads
What started with a new web platform grew into an ongoing engineering relationship across multiple parts of the ID Digital ecosystem. Today, Alabama works alongside ID Digital across web, mobile, digital signature and platform services, with dedicated delivery squads moving several initiatives forward in parallel.

01 / The challenge
Different products. One identity ecosystem.
ID Digital is more than a website or an app. Its ecosystem connects people and businesses with digital identity, certificates, legally valid signatures and services that depend on external institutions and existing internal systems.
Each product has its own flows and requirements, but they share the same underlying challenge: identity, security and trust need to work consistently across the ecosystem.
And as new products and priorities emerged, treating every initiative as an isolated project stopped making sense.
- 01
Web
A new public platform and digital service journeys.
- 02
Mobile
New experiences around digital identity and services.
- 03
ID Firma
Digital document signing and signature workflows.
- 04
Platform & Integrations
APIs, backend services and integrations connecting the ecosystem.
02 / The approach
From project delivery to dedicated squads.
The first initiative gave the team context around ID Digital's architecture, business rules, integrations and internal systems. That context became more valuable as the relationship grew.
Instead of starting from zero every time a new initiative appeared, Alabama could build on decisions, patterns and knowledge already accumulated across the ecosystem.
The engagement evolved into delivery squads working across different product areas, combining engineering, QA and technical leadership while sharing standards and context.
That allows several initiatives to move in parallel without turning them into disconnected projects.
- Shared context
- Dedicated squads
- Engineering + QA
- Multiple initiatives
03 / The solution
One relationship. Multiple products.
Today, Alabama contributes across several parts of the ID Digital ecosystem.
Web Platform
A new public digital platform built around a modern frontend and headless content architecture.
Beyond presenting ID Digital's services, the platform supports digital journeys, contact validation and integrations with the systems behind those processes.
Web · Headless CMS · Digital flowsMobile
Product and engineering work around ID Digital's mobile experience.
The app extends the ecosystem into a channel where identity, security and ease of use need to work together.
Mobile · Digital identity · SecurityID Firma
Engineering around digital document signing and signature workflows.
The product connects documents, users and legally valid digital signatures as part of the wider identity ecosystem.
Digital signature · Document flows · IdentityPlatform & Integrations
A significant part of the work happens behind the interfaces.
APIs, validation processes, backend services and integrations connect the different products with existing systems and external institutions.
Alabama works across those boundaries so the individual products evolve as parts of the same platform.
APIs · Integrations · Backend services04 / The results
From a website project to an ongoing delivery model.
The first engagement delivered a new digital platform. But the more meaningful result is what happened after that.
The relationship expanded into multiple initiatives across web, mobile, digital signature and platform services, with delivery squads able to work on different priorities in parallel.
And with every new initiative, the team starts with more context than before: more knowledge of the architecture, more understanding of the business rules, more familiarity with integrations and dependencies. Less time rebuilding that knowledge from scratch.
- MULTIPLE INITIATIVES
- across one digital ecosystem
- DELIVERY SQUADS
- moving product areas in parallel
- WEB + MOBILE + SIGNATURE
- different channels, shared context
- ONGOING DELIVERY
- knowledge compounds across projects
05 / The bigger story
Some relationships start with one project that works.
Some relationships start with a large transformation. Others start with one project that works well enough to lead to the next one. ID Digital is the second kind.
What began as a web project evolved into a broader engineering relationship across multiple products and delivery squads.
For Alabama, it's a good example of what long-term delivery can look like: start with one important initiative, build context and trust, and use both to keep more of the roadmap moving.
